Roco Kingdom has a lot of currencies: coins, gems, stars, emblems, feathers and seasonal tokens, 19 in total, spread across 48 permanent shops. In Roco Kingdom, knowing which ones matter saves you from hoarding the wrong thing. This guide covers what each currency does, how to earn it and where to spend it.

The main currencies

These are the ones you will use most:

  1. Roco Coins: The everyday currency of Carosia, used to raise Jinies and buy from shops.
    1. Earn them by reviewing your recent captures at a Manabough; Rare Jinies pay a big bonus.
    2. Student Handbook quests also pay Roco Coins, along with EXP and other rewards.
  2. Roco Gems: The premium currency. You get them from the Top-Up Shop, and they buy Buddy Pods, gift packs, Piko Coupons and Piko’s Magazine bundles.
  3. Wishing Stars: A special currency collected by mages. They pay for Friendship Tree nodes (10 for the full tree), costumes, emotes, toys and more.
  4. Starlight: You earn some with every wild Jini you catch. Condense it at the Stardial to turn it into Wishing Stars.

Wishing Stars come from several sources:

  1. Condensing Starlight at the Stardial
  2. Jini Codex research topics, which pay 311 Wishing Stars in total
  3. The Roco Pass and other activities
  4. Stars of the Sleeping Owls

Starseals and Research Points

A few currencies work more like keys than money:

  1. Starseal: Needed to claim rewards from Jini Blossoms, wild Alphas and Legendary Jini challenges. It refills over time.
  2. Condensed Starseal: Doubles the basic rewards from those same activities. To make 20 of them through alchemy, you need:
    1. 40 Starseals
    2. 1 Beehive
    3. 1,000 Roco Coins
  3. Research Points: Commemorative points you receive for finishing a Codex Research Topic.
