It does not walk. It bounces. In Roco Kingdom, Squibby gets around by springing on its powerful tail, and by the time it becomes Squmpy, that tail can launch it three stories into the air. This Common-class squirrel line also has a trait that turns stored energy into extra toughness. Here is how the line grows and how to use it.

The evolution line

  1. Squibby (No. 049): Instead of walking, it bounces around on its strong tail. If it falls over, it can take a while to right itself. Scholars think its feet have weakened over time, while its well-developed tail has taken over part of their job.
  2. Squshy (No. 050): It now gets around on its tail alone, leaving its feet with nothing to do. When it curls up and tucks its head in, it looks just like a giant pinecone.
  3. Squmpy (No. 051): Under all that fur is an incredibly strong, muscular tail. With one spring, it can launch itself three stories high.

All three stages are Common class, share the same trait and belong to the Land egg group.

Trait: Pile Up

Pile Up raises Physical Defense and Magic Defense by 10% for every 1 Energy this Jini holds.

The more Energy it saves up, the tougher it gets. Holding back on expensive skills keeps its defenses high, so you can choose between attacking hard and staying sturdy.

Stats at every stage

Here is how Species Aptitude grows from stage to stage:

  1. Squibby, 333 total: HP 69, Physical Attack 50, Magic Attack 47, Physical Defense 67, Magic Defense 52, Speed 48
  2. Squshy, 445 total: HP 92, Physical Attack 67, Magic Attack 63, Physical Defense 89, Magic Defense 70, Speed 64
  3. Squmpy, 555 total: HP 114, Physical Attack 84, Magic Attack 79, Physical Defense 111, Magic Defense 87, Speed 80

This line is built to last. Squmpy’s 114 HP and 111 Physical Defense make it sturdy, and Pile Up raises both defenses further as it stores Energy. Its attack stats are balanced, so it can use either physical or magic skills.

Size and capture details:

  1. Squibby: 0.47 to 0.68 m, 3.5 to 6 kg. Gives 16 Starlight and a 1,200 Roco Coin base review reward.
  2. Squshy: 0.6 to 0.84 m, 21.05 to 27.08 kg. Gives 28 Starlight and a 2,100 Roco Coin base review reward.
  3. Squmpy: 0.78 to 1.12 m, 47.5 to 68.4 kg. Gives 40 Starlight and a 3,000 Roco Coin base review reward.

Class effectiveness

When attacking with Common skills:

  1. Deals ×0.5 damage to: Earth, Shadow and Mech

When defending as a Common-class Jini:

  1. Takes ×2 damage from: Fighting
  2. Takes ×0.5 damage from: Shadow

All other matchups deal normal ×1 damage. With only one weakness, this line is safe to bring into most fights. Just keep it away from Fighting attackers.

Where to start

  1. Evolve Squibby all the way to Squmpy. Its total Species Aptitude climbs from 333 to 555.
  2. Keep Energy in reserve to power up Pile Up. Every point adds 10% to both defenses.
  3. Use cheaper skills when you want to stay tough, and save big attacks for the right moment.
  4. Choose physical or magic attacks freely, since its attack stats are nearly equal.
  5. Switch out against Fighting-class attackers, its only weakness.
