It starts as a tongue-out little frog that tries to lick everything it sees, and it ends as a dancing fighter that swings fruit-laden branches like weapons. In Roco Kingdom, Ribbitto, Ribbileon and Ribblisk form a lightning-fast Flora line, and each stage comes in different regional looks depending on where it lives. Here is how the line grows and how to use it.

The evolution line

  1. Ribbitto (No. 044): It flicks its tongue out and often forgets to pull it back in, and it tries to lick everything it sees. Its eyes are very sensitive to bright light, so it spends the day indoors or in the shade.
  2. Ribbileon (No. 045): Suction cups on its four feet let it scuttle across any surface, and it blends into its surroundings when it stays still. It licks the fruit on the stem its tail holds, and its saliva slowly hardens the fruit’s skin.
  3. Ribblisk (No. 046): The fruit-laden branches in its hands are weapons, instruments and sometimes a quick snack. It fights as if dancing, putting on a dazzling show with its long, agile tongue and tail.

All three stages share the same trait and belong to the Amphibian egg group.

Regional variants

Every stage comes in three variants, and two of them add a second class:

  1. Grassland Variant: Flora
  2. Sandy Terrain Variant: Flora / Earth
  3. Snowpeak Variant: Flora / Ice

The stats and matchups below are for the Grassland Variant. The Sandy Terrain and Snowpeak variants have different class matchups because of their second class.

Trait: Fake Death

Fake Death reduces the Vitality this Jini loses when Exhausted by 1.

In other words, when it is knocked out, it loses less Vitality than other Jinies. That helps it stay ready for more battles.

Stats at every stage

Here is how Species Aptitude grows from stage to stage:

  1. Ribbitto, 268 total: HP 44, Physical Attack 45, Magic Attack 12, Physical Defense 49, Magic Defense 40, Speed 78
  2. Ribbileon, 357 total: HP 59, Physical Attack 60, Magic Attack 16, Physical Defense 65, Magic Defense 53, Speed 104
  3. Ribblisk, 447 total: HP 74, Physical Attack 75, Magic Attack 20, Physical Defense 81, Magic Defense 67, Speed 130

Speed is everything for this line. Ribblisk’s 130 Speed is the highest of any Jini covered in this series so far, so it will nearly always move first. Its Magic Attack is very low, so stick to physical skills.

Where to start

  1. Evolve Ribbitto all the way to Ribblisk. Its Speed climbs from 78 to 130.
  2. Use its speed to strike first in almost every matchup.
  3. Stick to physical skills, since its Magic Attack is very low.
  4. Send it in against Water, Light and Earth opponents, and avoid Fire, Ice, Poison, Bug and Wing attackers.
  5. Look for the Sandy Terrain and Snowpeak variants if you want extra Earth or Ice coverage.
